Juxtapose Series
Today’s society wants a sterilized
slice of nature that will fit with
their busy schedules. By formulating idealized
landscapes of manmade greenbelts, RV
camping parks, neatly trimmed shrubs
and manicured lawns, we have refitted nature
to suit us. Juxtapose Series
explores formal elements of the
landscape and how they relate to
each other. My approach is intuitive
and expressive, seeking ways to
create a new reality on my terms.
Each of us views nature through our
own prism. Using design
sensibilities and pushing the
intrigue of opposites, diminutive to
expansive, smooth to rough, it asks,
what is the idealization of forms?
How is our landscape changed and how
do we see it?
